Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
During these unprecedented times, the mission of Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) continues to be focused on raising money to fund STEAM+ specialists’ salaries so that they can continue to provide exceptional learning experiences for all Del Mar Union School District students in 2020-21. DMSEF is in complete alignment with all communication and directives from Del Mar Union School District, and prioritizes the health and safety of our community, and particularly our children.
Effective March 13, 2020, DMSEF’s physical office at 11444 Canter Heights Dr, San Diego, CA 92130 is closed, but mail and contributions can still be sent to that address. Our staff is still working from home to support community members and business partners.
Our STEAM+ teachers are continuing our STEAM+ program by sending out a STEAM+ curriculum each week that is integrated with our school’s distance learning initiatives. As we all know, STEAM+ learning teaches our students creativity, resiliency and keeps them active, all things that are more important than ever for our children. If you are having any problems accessing this curriculum, please contact your classroom teacher for assistance. Please visit our social media feeds for daily STEAM+ activities for students, parent resource as well as ways to support our local business partners.
We know this is an unprecedented time for all of our families and DMSEF wants to hear from you. Please let us know how you are doing ([email protected]) and if you have any input as DMSEF moves forward with trying to close the gap at our school and ensure a robust STEAM+ program for all of our students for 2020-21.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]
