Campaign Goals

With the start of the school year, the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation has officially kicked off its Annual ESC Campaign, which raises funds to directly support the Extended Studies Curriculum of Science, Music, Art, Technology and Physical Education. Without our Annual Campaign and the dollars that you contribute, these programs would be greatly reduced across all of our schools and our children would not enjoy the quality of education that they do today.

Each year, the Foundation sets out to raise enough money so that the future our ESC teachers is not at risk for the following school year. Last year, we raised $1.28 million, an amazing amount of money that was enough to support more than 14 credentialed teaching positions across the eight District schools. This year again, we have set out to raise enough money so that our children can be assured of a full slate of credentialed ESC teachers for the next school year. To meet this goal, we need to raise $800 per child. This is a considerable amount of money, but certainly the development of our children is well worth it. Please contribute to the DMSEF today so we can ensure our children’s education for tomorrow.

You should have received an Annual ESC Campaign brochure from the DMSEF in you child’s Back-to-School Packet. On the envelope enclosed with that brochure you’ll see several methods of contributing including a convenient monthly installment plan. If you have any questions regarding the Foundation, please contact us through the Foundation office and someone will gladly address any of your concerns. If you are interested in volunteering to help us meet our goals, we have many ways in which you can do so. Just drop us a line at [email protected], and someone will be in touch. Thank you for reading this far, and thank you in advance for your contribution to the DMSEF.
